Read time: Under 2 minutes
Have you ever started a new habit only to slowly watch it fade? Initially we have a goal and we learn to say no to many other enticing things in order to stick with our habit. Sometimes we forget how to keep saying yes to our goal. We find ourselves wavering when other things come up that we want to choose instead. If that’s you, ask yourself what the cost of not doing it is?
For example, what’s the cost of not losing the weight you want to lose? Or what’s the cost of not leaving work on time? What’s the cost of not grocery shopping or meal prepping?
We get to make choices every day that either work towards our goals or against them. If you really want to lost 10 pounds, the cost of not going to the gym, not grocery shopping and not meal prepping healthy foods could be costly. It could be the reason you can’t lose the weight.
But this can play out in other areas as well…
– What’s the cost of not being honest with yourself?
– What’s the cost of not going to bed on time?
– What’s the cost of not turning your phone off when you have free time?
We all tend to say we don’t have enough time. But if you really stopped to ask yourself some of these questions, I have a feeling you’d find that the time has always been there, it’s how you’ve chosen to spend it that gets in the way of your dreams.
